About Our School

Cleburne County Elementary School, located in the heart of Heflin, Alabama, serves students in grades Pre-K through 4th with a commitment to academic excellence, character development, and community involvement. We strive to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to grow, learn, and reach their full potential.

Our dedicated faculty and staff work together to provide high-quality instruction, foster a love of learning, and support the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally. At CCES, we believe that strong relationships between school, home, and community are essential to student success. We are proud to build the foundation for lifelong learning by promoting respect, responsibility, and resilience in all that we do.

Together, we are growing great minds and building bright futures—one child at a time.

Join Cleburne County Schools in congratulating Ms Barbara Johnson and the teachers, staff and students at Cleburne County Elementary School for being selected as a 2020 National Blue Ribbon School.

The National Blue Ribbon Schools award affirms the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging content. The National Blue Ribbon Schools flag gracing a school's building is a widely recognized symbol of exemplary teaching and learning. National Blue Ribbon Schools are an inspiration and a model for schools still striving for excellence. Now in its 38th year, the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has bestowed almost 10,000 awards to more than 9,000 schools, with some schools winning multiple awards.
